Registration: Enrolling in Courses

Often confused with application for admission, registration is the process of selecting and enrolling in classes at the College.  Once an Offer of Admission has been made, students are eligible to register for Corpus Christi courses.

Registration for the Fall (September) Semester and Winter Semester (January) opens in May 18, 2011.  Students may register for Spring Intersession courses (May-June) as early as November.  Registration dates are publicized by the Registrar well in advance and course offerings are found on our website. Check here for the current list of courses.

Corpus Christi College students have a substantial amount of support for course selection and registration.  Each student has an advisor who will meet with him or her and discuss course options in light of individual career and academic goals.

When you log in, you will see that you are able to change your password.  it is recommended that you do so immediately.

IMPORTANT: Please take note of your password and do not share it.  If you have trouble logging in, please contact the Main Office.

SOAR

First-year students were invited to attend our annual Student Orientation, Advising and Registration Sessions (SOAR) on Saturday, May 7, 2011.  This event was designed to welcome new students to Corpus Christi College and prepare students for their first-year of studies.  If you were not able to attend SOAR, you can download all the necessary information at the bottom of this page.  These reources include:

  • SOAR Guide:  This comprehensive guidebook includes all the detailed information you’ll need about Registration, Student Services, important dates, course descriptions, and student life.  Please read it completely and carefully!  You are responsible for this information, and will be expected to know CCC policies and expectations.
  • Course Timetables:  When you register, you’ll register for both the Fall Term and the Winter Term.  Attached, you’ll see the timetable of course selections offered during both terms.  Use these tables to make sure the classes you register for do not conflict with one another.
  • Summer Registration Form:  If you want to solidify your English and Math skills before the fall, sign up for ENG 109 (the pre-university English course) and MATH 109 (the pre-university pre-calculus course) using the attached form.  More information about these courses (as well as the English Placement Test and Math Placement Test) is available on page 10 of the SOAR Guide…read it carefully!

English and Math Placement Tests

Students who achieve less than 80% (final blended grade) in English 12 but who wish to be considered for direct entry into ENGL 110 will be required to take the CCC English Placement Test (EPT).  Students who achieve less than 80% in Principles of Math 12 but who wish to enroll in Math 110 will be required to take the CCC Math Placement Test. Students who have credit for Principles of Math 12 and Calculus 12 are eligible to enrol in Math 204 or Math 110 & Math 111.  Students who need to take one or both of these tests should email advising@corpuschristi.ca to schedule a test time.  There is a $50 fee for each test.

The EPT and MPT are simply tests that help us determine appropriate placement of students in our English and Math courses.  For more information, see the SOAR guide.

Registration Deposit

Before you will be allowed to register for courses, you will need to pay a Registration Deposit of $225 ($450 for international students).  This can be paid by cheque or debit ONLY.  Payment can be sent by mail to Corpus Christi College (attn: JJ Kissinger), or submitted on campus.  Make cheques payable to Corpus Christi College.

Refund Schedule:

  • Students who pay the $225 fee but never register will be eligible for complete refund (minus a $25 processing fee).
